CamRig Strut Brace
Optional module for the KiteCamRig KCR10, needed for kites with long stitches between central strut and canopy.

Purpose : Some Kites need a special KiteCam system

Although most of the kites have enough clearance between the central strut and the canopy to attach both straps of the Kite Cam Rig around the strut,

Other kites (Flexifoil Ion, Naish Torch and Shockwave 2007, Caution Answer, etc...), have the strut stitched to the canopy almost all the way to the leading edge. There is just enough clearance to wrap the Front Strap of the CamRig Mount around the strut, between the leading edge and the valve. Not enough for the back strap, beyond the valve.

For these kites, you will need a Strut Brace to install the Kite Cam Rig 4

Strut Brace - Overview

The Strut Brace wraps the strut with the KiteCamRig above.

It is designed with a long slim gap in the middle of the brace to fit around the seam.
Velcro strips allow the KiteCamRig to be securely attached to it.
It is strong enough to give a good support to the back strap of the KiteCamRig.

The Strut Brace is sold separetely.

Note : For a better fit, you might have to slightly reshape the brace, depending on the design and dimensions of your kite. If you have several kites that need the Strut Brace, you can get one for each and leave them on all the time. This will also save you a few installation steps when switching kites.
